Eligibility for refund

You are eligible for a full refund if:

• the book itself is defective or damaged upon receipt.

However, you cannot request a refund if:

• you decide you no longer want the product;

• the product does not align with your individual preferences or tastes; or

• the product does not meet your personal expectations; or

• it is suspected or evident that the book has been intentionally damaged or mishandled after delivery; or

• damage to the book could not have occurred during transit.

Please note that non-tangible items like the Necessitating Change audio book and e-book are non-refundable.

Refund request

If you bought the book from an outlet other than, we kindly advise you to adhere to the respective vendor's return policy for any refund inquiries.
If you bought the product from, send an email to to initiate the refund process. Please include any relevant documentation, such as photographs demonstrating the product defect.

Return shipment

During the refund process, if you are asked to return your product, kindly mail your product to the address provided in email correspondence received from Necessitating Change.

If you are eligible for a full refund, we will reimburse you for the cost of standard return shipping. Please use a tracked, standard shipping service and retain your shipping receipt. Note that we cannot reimburse for expedited or express shipping services, nor can we assume liability for any loss or damage incurred during transit.

Return of the product is at your discretion and responsibility. Upon receipt and satisfactory inspection of the returned product, and provided it meets the criteria for refund eligibility, a refund for the original purchase amount, including standard shipping cost, will be processed within 10 business days.

If the product was purchased as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, the refund will be issued to the gift giver upon return of the product.

Delayed or unreceived refunds (if applicable)

Complimentary items & packaging policy

The additional items included with your book (such as the scrapbooked letter, magnet, keychain, holographic sticker, pin, and button) are extended to you as complimentary extras. Excluding the book itself, should any of these items arrive damaged, we are committed to sending a replacement for the specific damaged item or items free of charge. However, please note that you will be responsible for the associated shipping costs.

Regarding our rustic packaging, which encompasses a wax seal, butcher's twine wrap, and kraft and paper wrapping, this too, is provided as a complimentary element intended to enhance your unboxing experience. Nevertheless, it is stipulated that any potential damage to or disassembly of this packaging during transit does not constitute grounds for issuing refunds or replacements.
